Abayomi Shogbade is a photographer, visual artist, and art director who uses fashion as a powerful medium for storytelling. With a focus on dark skin as his canvas, Abayomi creates striking visual narratives that celebrate culture, identity, and beauty. His work blends artistic direction with fashion photography to express deeply rooted themes and amplify underrepresented voices.

Driven by a desire to give creatives in Swansea a platform to be seen and heard, he founded Swansea Fashion Week, a movement that encourages collaboration, education, and bold self-expression. For Abayomi, fashion is more than clothing, it’s a language. Through SFW, he aims to inspire new waves of creativity and make space for a more inclusive and vibrant cultural scene in Wales and beyond.
